Technical Operator I
Description:
Tradebe is looking for an Instrument & Control Technician for our site in Fawley.
The main purpose of the role is to:
* Provide electrical, control, and instrumentation (E,C&I) support to Operations and Engineering teams.
* Perform duties in accordance with documented work requirements, legislation, and company policies, maintaining safety, quality, and environmental standards.
* Ensure repairs and maintenance are undertaken to maintain plant availability and improve efficiency.
The role
* Advise management on safety issues.
* Carry out risk assessments and method statements for routine and defect maintenance tasks.
* Perform PM inspections on all safety instrumented systems.
* Conduct breakdown and routine maintenance as needed.
* Maintain high standards of housekeeping.
* Provide E,C&I maintenance support to maximize plant operations.
* Assist in planning and preparing for plant maintenance shutdowns.
* Recommend modifications or procedures to enhance plant performance.
The person
* Willing to attend site out of hours to respond to breakdowns or emergencies.
* Enthusiastic, competent problem solver with practical engineering skills.
* Willing to assist colleagues during breakdowns and routine maintenance.
* PC literate and quick to learn new software systems.
* Good communication and organizational skills.
* Self-motivated, able to work independently, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple issues simultaneously.
Desirable Skills:
* FLT Driver
* Knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation
* Knowledge of DCS, ESD, and PLC control systems
