Talent Guardian is partnering with a well-established and fast-paced business to recruit an experienced Production Manager to oversee operations across Poole and Bournemouth sites.
This is a critical leadership role, responsible for ensuring efficient production operations, maintaining high-quality standards, and leading teams through both steady-state and peak seasonal demand.
The Role As Production Manager, you will take ownership of day-to-day production performance across both sites, ensuring smooth workflows, effective workforce planning, and operational excellence. Standard working hours are 37.5 hours per week, daytime hours, with flexibility required, particularly during peak production periods.
You will work closely with Quality, Supply Chain, and senior leadership to ensure production targets are met safely, cost-effectively, and to a consistently high standard.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, coach, and develop production teams across multiple sites, fostering a positive and productive working environment
Manage workforce planning, including coordination of a large temporary workforce during peak production periods
Ensure products meet all quality, technical, and customer standards, working closely with Quality and Technical teams
Oversee inventory and material availability in collaboration with Warehouse and Supply Chain functions
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and control costs
Monitor KPIs and prepare regular production reports for senior management
Ensure full compliance with health & safety regulations and maintain a safe, organised production environment
Act quickly to resolve operational challenges and implement effective contingency plans when required About You
Proven experience in a Production Manager or senior manufacturing leadership role
Confident managing operations across multiple sites
Strong people management skills with experience leading large, diverse teams
Comfortable working in high-volume or seasonal production environments
Data-driven, with experience using KPIs to drive performance
