Can you help make a real difference to our homes and communities? We have an amazing opportunity for a Post Construction Manager to join a dynamic, dedicated and growing team responsible for managing the post-handover phase of our housing developments.
This is a high‑impact role working across departments to ensure that our built property portfolio, whether General Needs or Shared Ownership continues to meet the highest standards of quality.
Responsible for defect resolution, structural warranty claims, and large‑scale remediation projects where properties have been built with significant latent defect issues. The team manages anywhere from a handful to 50‑60 homes at a time, and collaborates closely with contractors, warranty providers, and internal departments to ensure residents receive high‑quality, safe homes.
You’ll develop and implement the Construction & Latent Defects plan, manage resources, and act as the legal liaison and technical lead for disputes for defect resolution after handover and for latent defects.
You’ll ensure that post‑construction issues are effectively identified, managed, and resolved, coordinating remediation work on‑site as needed.
This role is crucial in ensuring quality, maintaining housing stock integrity, and protecting the interests of both tenants and shared owners.
This role brings extensive travel across central UK to our sites and offices.
The Role
* You’ll approach this role with empathy and an understanding of our customer demographics.
* You’ll hold knowledge and experience in the built environment sector, understanding of contract, insurance principles, defect diagnosis, and managing contractors.
* You’ll be experienced in residential construction process, inspection, regulations with health and safety legislation.
* You’ll hold excellent communication, networking, problem‑solving, and organisational skills and have a strong understanding of development procedures and have the ability to read plans and specifications.
Qualifications
* Degree/NVQ Level 6 in a construction‑related discipline (essential), membership in RICS/CABE/CIOB/ICWCI (desirable) or equivalent relevant experience.
* Driving licence, access to a car and flexibility to work across geographical areas.
* Excellent communication, networking, problem‑solving, and organisational skills.
* Strong understanding of development procedures and ability to read plans and specifications.
* The collaborative skills to work with warranty providers, internal teams, and external stakeholders to ensure high‑quality outcomes.
