Job Title: Finance & Business Operations Analyst

Location: Glasgow

Salary: Competitive

Job Type: Full-Time

About Us:

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Finance & Business Operations Assistant to join our dynamic and agile team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a strong foundation in finance, and is comfortable supporting business operations across various functions.

Key Responsibilities:

Finance Support:

* Prepare and send monthly payment summaries for all stakeholders.
* Track payments received against invoiced amounts – including those received months or years after invoicing.
* Assist with quarterly VAT submissions and other statutory financial requirements.
* Maintain and update financial trackers to manage costings, budgets, and forecasts.
* Support the Head of Finance in daily financial administration and reporting tasks.
* Compile and deliver daily, weekly, and monthly performance statistics and financial reports.

Business Operations Support:

* Assist in various operational tasks as required across the business.
* Provide support in project coordination and implementation of process improvements.
* Liaise across teams to gather data and ensure consistent business reporting standards.

Key Requirements:

* Good understanding of basic accounting principles.
* Previous experience in a finance support or analytical role preferred.
* Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
* Advanced Excel skills and proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word and PowerPoint.
* Strong data analysis and reporting skills.
* Excellent communication skills – able to handle sensitive or complex topics professionally.
* Well-organised with strong project management and time-management skills.
* Self-starter with a proactive mindset and a problem-solving attitude.
* Comfortable working independently and collaboratively within a small team.

Desirable:

* Experience in a financial services or accounting environment.
* Familiarity with financial reconciliation processes.

Pay: Up to £28,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

* Glasgow G1 3PT: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
