Corporate Receptionist role at Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services. Hours: 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday. Office location: Doncaster Rail College.
Responsibilities
* Reception Desk Management: Greet visitors, answer and direct calls, maintain a tidy reception area, provide site safety briefings, assist with client events, complete Fire Warden training and support building evacuations, conduct weekly stock checks and order stationary, train new team members, keep health and safety posters and folders up to date, report faults or safety concerns, and collaborate with receptionists, WPM team, Security Team, FM Team, and admin staff to ensure smooth operations.
* Security Awareness: Monitor and control access, verify visitor credentials, issue badges, and report suspicious activity.
* Customer Service Excellence: Provide personalized assistance, offer accurate information about the company and facilities, and handle inquiries professionally and promptly.
* Administrative Support: Sort mail and courier deliveries, manage meeting rooms, respond to the Reception Inbox, handle daily parcel deliveries, manage visitor figures and staff passes reports, keep front of house QHSE documentation up to date, maintain filing systems, and support other departments with administrative duties.
* Uniform Standards: Adhere to uniform guidelines and maintain a neat, professional appearance, serving as an ambassador for the organization.
* Front of House Coordinator duties (if applicable): Support Workplace Management with fire alarm testing, conduct kitchen and meeting room checks, ensure meeting rooms are stocked and ready, verify printers are operational, perform weekly checks of safety equipment and building inductions, and ensure maintenance issues are reported.
Qualifications
* Experience: 2 years' customer service experience in a reception, switchboard, or room booking environment is beneficial; training will be provided.
* Skills and Knowledge: Strong communication (written and verbal), proficiency with MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, ability to interact confidently with all levels of the business and guests, excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, and ability to remain composed in fast-paced situations.
* Education or Certification: 2 years reception/administration experience (beneficial but not required); A Level (or equivalent).
