About the Role We are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join our specialist boutique practice in Littlehampton. Further details about us can be found at www.schlich.co.uk Key Responsibilities Working alongside the Accounts Manager, you will be responsible for: Recording incoming and outgoing payments and invoices into Xero Preparing invoices, including monthly invoices, and updating the case management system to reflect client billing Checking petty cash and credit card receipts Preparing statements for clients with overdue payments Assisting with VAT return preparation Supporting year-end accounting activities Other ad hoc accounting duties as required Requirements Essential: Experience of working within an accounts department GCSE passes in both Mathematics and English Proficient in MS Word and Excel Possess excellent attention to detail Ability to work using your own initiative, as well as working as part of a team Desirable: Knowledge of accounting software packages, preferably Xero Ideally, you would be either AAT Level 3 qualified or studying towards it What We Offer Flexible working arrangements : Full-time or part-time hours across Monday to Friday 25 days holiday plus bank holidays Private medical insurance and eye care scheme Company pension scheme Study support (for those currently studying AAT or looking to begin) How to Apply Please send your CV and a brief cover letter outlining your experience and qualifications to HR@schlich.co.uk by Friday, 19th December 2025.
