The Clinical Services Manager reports to and is accountable to the Director of Primary Care for the strategic leadership and operational management for Lothian Unscheduled Care Service at WGH, RIE, St John's, MCH, ELCH, Triage Hub and Overnight Community Nurses, and leadership of the operational interface between secondary and primary & community care, to optimise LUCS contribution to the urgent care of patients during the OOHs period.
Responsible for leadership, management and control of relevant Directorate resources (staffing, funding and facilities), LUCS achievement of business performance objectives within quality standards e.g. local and national targets are achieved, the delivery of high quality and safe care, and contribute to the corporate management of the Directorate through formal governance structure.
Lead role in the Directorate for the development and implementation of services out of hours which span the interface between primary and secondary care. This role will enable the reduction in urgent front door attendances out of hours through development of primary/secondary care interface services across Lothian and NHS 24, as an organisational priority.
