About the RoleWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Support Assistant to join our team on a full-time temporary basis within an educational setting. This is a rewarding opportunity to support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them to access learning, develop independence, and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with SEN
* Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
* Support students with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties
* Promote a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
* Help manage behaviour in line with school policies
* Support students with personal care where required
* Monitor and record student progress and provide feedback to staff
Requirements
* Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN (preferred)
* A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) are desirable but not essential
