About the Role
OCS is seeking an autonomous, motivated Project Manager that can demonstrate a willingness to engage, coordinate and safely manage multiple trades.
Key Responsibilities
* Understanding of cradle to grave Project Management – delivery of projects from conception to completion, managing safely as Principal Contractor, compliance with CDM requirements, compiling Construction Phased Plans, reviewing and accepting Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
* Programme and multiple trade activities coordinated, reported upon and administered.
* Manage projects across multiple locations, with flexibility and mobility.
* Liaise with client/stakeholders and their teams throughout all aspects of the project.
* Develop project‑specific proposals based on client requirements.
* Challenge proposed scopes to offer improvement and betterment to OCS.
* Manage project specific costs to meet the client budget and programme, maximising return for OCS.
* Achieve and exceed measurable KPI’s for the contract.
* Ensure client satisfaction.
Essential Hiring Criteria
* Proven experience carrying out project delivery of this nature.
* Demonstrable position as Project Manager or promising Project Engineer looking to advance.
* Self‑motivated, able to work on own initiative and recognise the need to ask for assistance and resource planning.
* Deadline driven and committed to the same.
* Effective interpersonal skills.
* Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
* PC literate with working knowledge of Microsoft suite of software, including Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word, Project and PowerPoint.
Personal Qualities
* Flexible approach to all work activities (travel between various UK locations).
* Ability to work calmly and efficiently in a pressurised environment, articulate in dynamic conversations with ability to steer conversations to suit objectives.
* Excellent customer service skills / professional manner.
* Confident, enthusiastic, and reliable.
* Understanding of all legislative requirements that impact on the business and client activities and all employees.
