Job Description
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to help deliver our regulatory responsibilities, placed on us as the Enforcement Authority for the Reservoirs Act 1975 in England. The Reservoirs Act helps to ensure the safe operation and management of dams.
Responsibilities
* As an officer in the Compliance and Monitoring team, part of the Reservoir Regulation team, monitor compliance with the Reservoirs Act 1975 for the 2140 reservoirs in England.
* Manage day-to-day correspondence and record incoming documentation on the database to ensure records are accurate and up to date.
* Encourage compliance when reports or certificates are not received as expected.
* Be the first point of contact for reservoir owners and panel engineers; provide information and advice on the requirements of the Act.
Working Arrangements
* This role is a part-time job share (22.2 hours per week).
* Flexible working patterns are welcome for all vacancies.
* Some travel and overnight stays may be required as the team is nationally dispersed.
Team and Department
You will join the Environmental Assessment and Reservoir Regulation department, part of the Flood & Coastal Risk Management (FCRM) Directorate. The Reservoir Regulation team comprises 25+ members responsible for regulating reservoirs in England.
