Conversion Machine Technician L1
The DS Smith Production team are a dynamic and skilled mix of professionals who focus on delivering machine products, working to meet operational targets and performance while delighting our customers with sustainable and innovative packaging solutions. The Production team is fundamental to our business success and our biggest department, filled with highly skilled, highly experienced individuals.
As a valued team member you will play a vital role in supporting the Operator in setting and running the machines. You will assist in achieving quality standards on all work produced and delight customers by delivering high‑quality product in a timely manner. We work together to ensure our work is technically correct and the right process is followed to meet customer requirements.
Health & Safety is our number one priority, and an important part of the role is to work in line with all current policies and procedures to keep yourself and your colleagues safe.
You will report directly to Shift Managers, but will work closely with the teams on various machines to receive the training you need to become a successful Operator and to advance through internal promotions.
About You
* Work in line with DS Smith standards at all times, including but not limited to Health & Safety and Quality.
* Be able to communicate and work well within a team.
* Understand and achieve objectives.
* Document good ways of working and work to these as standard.
* Work on your own initiatives.
* Have some experience of manufacturing and shift work.

Location
* Fordham, Newmarket on a 12 hour shift pattern, days & nights rotation starting either 06:00 or 18:00.
