A secondment opportunity has arisen within Cancer Services. If you have experience in colorectal disorders and cancer this could be a great learning and development opportunity for you.
The Associate Colorectal Clinical Nurse Specialist will provide a supportive cancer nursing service within the hospital. You will work in concert with the Colorectal Clinical Nurse Specialist to ensure optimal care, which will extend to the patients, carers and their families.
Main duties of the job
* To provide information and support to all suspected cancer patients within this specialty and ensure continuity of care through diagnosis and treatment.
* To provide specialist advice and act as an an educational resource
* To participate in the continuing education of the multi-professional health care team in all aspects of Colorectal cancer
* To facilitate innovative and evidence-based nursing practice through professional leadership and supporting the clinical team
* To participate in clinical audit undertaken in relation to Colorectal cancer and the on-going service development with the support and supervision of the Colorectal Clinical Nurse Specialist.
