Overview:
My Client is currently looking for a skilled and reliable Air Conditioning Engineer to join their facilities management team, delivering planned and reactive maintenance services across a portfolio of commercial contracts in Edinburgh. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified engineer to work with a well-established FM service provider, ensuring HVAC systems are maintained to the highest standard of compliance and performance.
Key Responsibilities:

Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on a variety of air conditioning systems, including VRV/VRF, split, multi-split, and AHUs.

Diagnose faults, carry out repairs, and ensure minimal disruption to client operations.
*
Complete service reports, risk assessments, and job sheets accurately and in a timely manner.
*
Ensure all work is carried out in line with current health & safety and F-Gas regulations.
*
Participate in the on-call rota for emergency callouts and support out-of-hours work when required.
*
Collaborate with the wider maintenance and FM team to support building services operations.
*
Liaise professionally with clients, site staff, and subcontractors.
Requirements:
*
City & Guilds Level 2/3 in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning or equivalent.
*
F-Gas (Category 1) certification – essential.
*
Proven experience working within commercial air conditioning maintenance (facilities or building services).
*
Full UK driving licence.
*
Good knowledge of health & safety regulations and HVAC best practices.
*
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Desirable:
*
Experience in additional building services (e.g., basic plumbing, electrics).
*
PASMA/IPAF certification.
*
Working knowledge of CAFM systems.
