Job Title: Test Technician (mechanical)
Location: Cheshire
Salary: Up to £40k (depending on experience)

About the role:
Contribute to commercial R&D programmes.
Support projects from initial scoping through full delivery, including test facility preparation, commissioning, execution, analysis, and reporting.
Hands-on, laboratory and cleanroom based, with exposure to advanced testing, research, and collaboration with multidisciplinary internal teams and external clients.
Mechanical assembly, drives and controllers, instrumentation and data acquisition, software preparation, and calibrate test data.
Plan and manage your own work, take responsibility for assigned tasks, and contribute to timely, cost-effective project delivery.
Occasional UK and international travel to customer sites.
About you:
HND or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
2+ years of hands-on laboratory and cleanroom working experience
Ability to plan, execute, and deliver R&D tasks within a commercial environment
Strong problem-solving skills with an enquiring, analytical mindset
Test execution, data analysis, and technical reporting
Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise workload, and meet deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Teamwork and collaboration within multi-disciplinary teams and clients
Assembly and commissioning of test facilities
Experience working within ISO 9001 / ISO 9100 quality management systems
Willingness to undertake occasional UK and international travel
