Role Overview As the Art Technician, you will play a central role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Art & Design department. Your responsibilities will include preparing and organising materials for lessons, setting up practical resources, assisting with demonstrations, ensuring equipment is safe and ready to use, and helping maintain a structured, inspiring learning environment. You will work closely with a team of dedicated Art teachers and contribute to lessons covering drawing, painting, mixed media, printmaking, textiles, digital artwork, and 3D design. Key duties include: Preparing equipment, materials and classroom resources for KS3–KS4 Art lessons Supporting students during practical activities, offering guidance with tools and materials Maintaining, cleaning, and organising specialist equipment, tools and classroom spaces Managing stock levels, ordering supplies, and maintaining departmental inventory Assisting with photography, digital editing, and preparation of artwork for assessment Helping curate displays around the school to celebrate student creativity Supporting with after-school clubs, exhibitions, and coursework organisation where needed School Information The school is recognised for its calm, welcoming environment and strong emphasis on both academic success and personal development.
