What are we looking for We have an opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer where you will support the Lead Maintenance Engineer in daily activities relating to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and People. The position requires the successful candidate to take responsibilities relating to SQDCP and is expected to make decisions within the Maintenance department to meet the requirements of the business deliverables. Responsibilities Asset Maintenance & Reliability Execute planned, preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities in accordance with maintenance schedules and safety requirements. Support reliability improvement initiatives, including RCM & FMEA. Diagnose equipment faults, identify root causes, and implement permanent corrective actions. Technical Expertise Provide engineering support for rotating equipment, static equipment, instrumentation, electrical systems, or multi‑discipline plant assets (depending on specialism). Ensure equipment is operated and maintained in line with company standards, statutory regulations, and internal procedures. Update and verify technical documentation, drawings, and equipment records relating to SQDCP. Ensure spares are always available and within Min-Max levels and make proposals on the stock holding. Compliance & Safety Uphold safe systems of work including Permit-to-Work, LOTO, confined space, and working‑at‑height procedures. Comply with statutory regulations (e.g. PUWER, LOLER, Pressure Systems, ATEX/DSEAR depending on site). Participate in safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations. To champion 6S in your area and others and support and promote all aspects of continuous improvement within ITM Teamwork & Communication Liaise closely with Operations, HSE, and external contractors. Communicate maintenance updates, machine availability, risks, and priorities effectively across the team. About You Knowledge and Experience Recognised engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering IOSH Working or Managing Safely desirable Experience in manufacturing or process plant maintenance Ability to read technical drawings (P&IDs, schematics, mechanical drawings) Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic skills Working knowledge of CMMS systems Strong commitment to safety and risk management Understanding of continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma) Forklift license (B1/B2) Skills and Abilities Ability to highlight potential failures before they occur A good level of IT competence in Microsoft packages and CMMS Excellent time management skills and a willingness to remain flexible Ability to communicate at all levels and ensure information is understood and embedded within your area What We Offer The opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in a rapidly growing industry, within a dynamic environment where you can shape the future of energy and work with a team that’s actively addressing global climate challenges.
