We are looking for a compassionate and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school team.
You will work closely with teachers and the SENCO to support pupils with a range of special educational needs (SEN), helping them access the curriculum and achieve their potential in a safe and inclusive environment. Beginning November 2025.
Duties as a SEN Teaching Assistant:
* Provide one-to-one or small-group support for pupils with SEN.
* Assist teachers in planning and delivering differentiated activities.
* Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development.
* Encourage independence and confidence through positive reinforcement.
* Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and communicate effectively with staff and parents.
* Help create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment.
Ideal SEN Teaching Assistant:
* Experience working with children in a school or educational setting (SEN experience desirable but not essential).
* Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills as a SEN Teaching Assistant.
* Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
* A proactive approach to supporting learning and managing behaviour.
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
