Overview
Windsor Forest Colleges Group is seeking a part-time Performing Arts Technician to work 16 hours per week in the Performing Arts Department at our Strode’s College campus on a permanent, term-time only basis. The 16-hour work pattern is flexible, typically between Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm, with some evenings required; to be discussed at the interview.
Salary
The role pays from G16 £9,123.13 up to G19 £10,140.01 (full-time equivalent being G16 £24,098 up to G19 £26,784), which will be dependent on experience and qualifications.

Technician - Performing Arts
Responsibilities
* Provide practical support for staff and students and assist with workshop demonstrations.
* Oversee the props cupboard and camera usage, maintaining meticulous records of loans and returns.
* Ensure that all assessment materials are recorded in the correct format and stored for external examiner use across the department.
* Set up music equipment for concerts and performances, requiring a solid understanding of how to fix musical equipment and proficiency in using Logic Pro.
* Be responsible for lighting dance and acting shows in the studio and creating soundscapes for these performances, adapting skills for other professional venues as needed.
* Manage technical requirements for in-class and evening assessments and performances (sound, lighting, video recording).
* Organise, store, and share video footage from rehearsals, assessments, and performances.
* Deliver workshop sessions with a comprehensive understanding of DAW and DMX software.
Skills and Qualifications
* Proven practical skills; well-organised, creative, and capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team.
* Approachable manner with genuine enthusiasm for Performing Arts and Live Shows.
* Strong communication and time management skills; ability to relate well to students; highly organised and flexible with varying mediums and staff members.
* Experience in setting up and operating sound, lighting, and recording equipment; proficiency with DAW and DMX software.
