Are you looking for a rewarding role in an SEN school with new facilities and supportive staff? A vibrant and new SEN school in Lewisham is looking for an Autism Support Worker to join their growing team in secondary aged classrooms in key stages 3:4.
Job Details
* Long‑term full‑time position for the remainder of the academic year and into the next year.
* Supports pupils in KS3–KS4, working 1:1 or in the classroom.
* Responsibilities include ensuring pupils meet learning goals, providing assistance for independence, and supporting classroom activities.
Requirements & Qualifications
* Experience as an Autism support worker in an SEN school desirable but not essential.
* Passion for helping students with SEN needs.
* Patient, calm, and engaging classroom manner.
* Strong communication skills.
* Registered DBS or willingness to undertake a DBS application.
* Ability to build rapport with individual pupils.
