Salary: £49,480 - £65,000 per annum + Pension

We\'re currently recruiting for a Senior Warhead Hardware Engineer (Electronic) to join our Warhead Engineering team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical background who thrives in complex, high-integrity environments - from system integration to safety and security-critical projects. Due to the classified nature of our work, this role is primarily site-based at AWE.
What You\'ll Be Doing
* Leading the design, integration, and testing of electrical/electronic systems
* Leading System Engineering deliverables including requirements, system architectures and verification evidence
* Delivering engineering solutions across the full lifecycle, ensuring safety and performance standards
* Driving technical delivery, continuous improvement, and innovation
* Managing stakeholders and leading multidisciplinary teams
* Presenting technical findings to internal and external audiences
What We\'re Looking For
Essential:
* HNC/HND, NVQ Level 5, or degree in a science/engineering discipline - or equivalent experience
* Experience of the full engineering lifecycle using system engineering methodologies such as the V-model
* Proven experience in leading technical projects and teams
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
* Excellent communication and people management abilities
* Ability to plan and deliver multiple objectives concurrently
Desirable Experience
* Engineering delivery across safety-critical programmes
* Experience in Model Based System Engineering
* Cost-saving and efficiency improvement initiatives
* Effective stakeholder engagement and influence
* Coaching and developing others within multidisciplinary teams
* Promoting high standards in safety, security, and quality
