About you:
This role will be part of the Divisional executive team and Commercial Finance, acting as a trusted financial advisor to senior executives and delivering quality financial support for the business. The role involves providing financial leadership, strategic direction, and oversight across the Division. Key responsibilities include driving financial performance, ensuring compliance with regulations, and aligning strategies with business objectives.
Day-to-day, you will:
1. Form strong partnerships with the Divisional Managing Director and leadership team, supporting and challenging the business to achieve results.
2. Provide accurate financial reporting, analysis, and insights for decision-making at executive and board levels.
3. Utilize financial information to offer insights into business performance and growth opportunities.
4. Drive financial performance optimization and manage target metrics.
5. Lead improvements in forecasting and review frameworks to enhance business predictability.
6. Support the development and execution of effective business strategies.
7. Lead the planning and budgeting process for the Division.
8. Contribute to finance process improvements and build/review business cases for commercial decisions.
9. Oversee integration of acquisitions and manage risk, compliance, cash flow, liquidity, and working capital.
10. Build relationships with stakeholders, including investors, auditors, and regulators, ensuring transparency and compliance.
Your skills and experiences might also include:
* Experienced FBP with relevant financial qualifications (ACA/CIMA/ACCA/MBA).
* Commercially aware, results-oriented, with the ability to influence senior non-finance executives.
* Effective in a matrix environment, with excellent communication, presentation, and decision-making skills.
* Proficient in financial modeling (Excel skills essential) and investment appraisal; experience in software revenue growth, pricing, M&A, and corporate finance is preferred.
* Operational understanding of the software industry, especially subscription models, and ability to operate virtually across multiple locations.
