Overview
Business Development & Bid Manager - Fleet SaaS. Hybrid/Remote - Midlands with UK travel. £40,000 - £55,000 per annum, dependent on experience. Uncapped Commission Structure with realistic double OTE. Car allowance: £450 per month. Ongoing training and career development opportunities with a fast-growing SaaS business.
Permanent and unrestricted Right to Work in the UK is required, with a willingness to travel nationwide. Visa sponsorship cannot be offered.
Role
Public Sector Bid Manager to lead and take ownership of public sector sales and bid management processes. This role combines business development and bid management, focusing on winning and retaining public sector contracts. We are seeking a highly motivated, proactive, and results-driven individual to secure new business opportunities aligned with our client’s strategic goals.

Key responsibilities
* Develop and manage a robust pipeline (commercial & public sector) aligned to strategic sales goals.
* Identify, engage and build long-term relationships with key decision-makers within target audiences.
* Negotiate and close deals by delivering persuasive product demonstrations and commercial proposals.
* Manage the entire bid process from RFIs to RFPs.
* Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure bids are delivered on time and to a high standard.
* Monitor public sector portals for upcoming renewals and new tender opportunities.
* Analyse documents to identify requirements and form tailored, compliant responses.
* Gather relevant technical and commercial information with internal stakeholders.
* Act as main point of contact for the client during the bid process and ensure clear communication between teams.
* Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and organisational requirements; manage risks/escalate as needed.
* Maintain and develop bid libraries including templates, accreditations, case studies and policies.
* Conduct post-bid reviews to identify improvements.
* Stay up to date with procurement regulations and monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform bid strategies.
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience managing public sector bids, preferably within a B2B SaaS environment.
* Experience responding to tenders for fleet management, telematics, field service or similar solutions is advantageous.
* Strong understanding of RFI/RFP responses and compliance, with experience writing, coordinating and submitting bids via public sector portals.
* Knowledge of public sector frameworks and procurement processes.
* Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to build strong relationships across diverse teams.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Bid Management tools.
* Strong organisation and stakeholder coordination skills.
* Self-motivated, commercially aware, and target driven.
* A clean UK driving licence with willingness to travel nationally and occasional travel to HQ in Limerick, Ireland (typically once per month).
