Key Responsibilities of the Teacher of Computer Science:
* Plan and deliver engaging, innovative computer science lessons across KS3 and KS4.
* Inspire students to develop coding, computational thinking, and digital literacy skills.
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support to ensure high achievement.
* Contribute to the development of the computing curriculum and department resources.
* Create a positive learning environment that motivates and challenges learners.
* Participate in departmental meetings, school events, and CPD opportunities.
Requirements of the Teacher of Computer Science:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Experience teaching computer science in UK secondary schools.
* Strong subject knowledge in computing, programming, and digital technologies.
* A passion for education and the ability to motivate and inspire students.
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil well-being.
* Have an up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
