We welcome applications for this full-time shift working position to assist our Grinding Production cell using our modern grinding technology including our Sigma Grinding centres.
This position is offered to employees with a shift premium on top of your basic salary.
Responsibilities:
* Setting and operating CNC machines to set programs according to work instruction.
* Loading the grinding centres to meet desired quantities.
* Conducting in-process inspection.
* Verifying against drawings and specifications to ensure customer orders are manufactured accurately and to the highest standards.
* Experience in setting and operating CNC or precision grinding machines.
* Familiarity with Fanuc programming controls.
* Experience of reading and understanding engineering drawings and tolerances.
* Proficient in a range of measuring equipment and inspection techniques.
* Can do attitude with team working ethos.
* Manufacturing engineering experience in a similar background or environment.
* Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent NVQ3 Award, BTEC or City & Guilds qualification in engineering at Advanced Level.
* A high level of IT literacy.
* Experience using CMM, pre-set meters and gauges to check conformity of product.
Hours of Work:
Friday – Sunday: 6am – 6pm, 36-hours per week.
