They are looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated Care Assistant to join their team in Weston Super Mare. The role involves delivering high standards of personal care, contributing to the care team, and ensuring continuity of services to residents.
Job responsibilities
Your focus as a Care Assistant will be to deliver high standards of personal care, contributing fully to the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents. Other responsibilities include:
* Assisting residents in all personal hygiene care, ensuring independence, dignity and respect at all times.
* Recognising and understanding clinical risk areas in residents (e.g., weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls, signs of infections) and escalating identified risks promptly.
* Acting courteously towards residents and visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident.
* Practising safe systems of work across the range of tasks.
About you
To be successful, you will demonstrate the values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable in all you do. No specific qualifications are required as Avery provides a thorough induction and training programme to ensure confidence in the role.
* Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
* Demonstrate initiative and respect towards residents and others in the home.
* Efficient worker who can carry out reasonable instructions from other team members.
* Adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.
