Senior Student Recruitment Assistant role at Newcastle Research & Innovation Institute in Singapore (NewRIIS).
The position is full time, permanent, based in Newcastle, UK. Salary: £27,319.00 – £29,588.00 per annum. Closing date: 17 September 2025.
Posted: 4 September 2025. The role is part of the UK Recruitment Operations team (UKRO) and will involve contact with prospective students and influencers, event support, and contribution to recruitment targets as set in the University’s Student Recruitment Strategy and Access and Participation Plan.
Interviews will take place on 25 September, in person on the Newcastle campus. The University encourages flexible working arrangements where possible and may require occasional travel and DBS disclosure where appropriate.

Key Responsibilities
* Serve prospective UK students and their influencers, providing a welcoming, prompt and professional service across channels (web form, post, email, telephone, Live Chat, social media, in person).
* Organise recruitment events and visits, manage enquiry responses, and evaluate activity to support continuous improvement.
* Support school and college recruitment visits across the UK, coordinating logistics, hotels, transport, and visit arrangements.
* Assist with a range of recruitment events (online and on-campus), including residential summer schools, campus tours, Offer Holder Events, and UCAS exhibitions.
* Administer the PARTNERS Programme as required, including form processing, queries, and liaison with Admissions on applications.
* Maintain finance records and assist in financial reporting; use SAP/P2P for purchases and payments.
* Maintain accurate student records and lead capture through appropriate systems; ensure GDPR compliance and conduct user testing as needed.
* Coordinate with Academic Schools, UG/PG Admissions, International Recruitment Operations, Student Services, Estates and external providers to deliver high-quality customer service.
* Represent the University at higher education recruitment events and manage participation in various recruitment activities, including Open Days and Confirmations/Clearing.
* Support additional duties as required by the Head of Undergraduate Recruitment and Widening Participation to encourage applications from well-qualified students (including summer schools, back-to-campus activities, and events).

* Excellent IT skills and experience with complex, busy customer-focused services.
* Experience in working within a structured recruitment or similar service environment.
Presence, Behaviour and Qualifications
* Willingness to work some evenings and weekends.
* Ability to obtain Enhanced DBS clearance.
* A good educational background to at least GCSE standard or equivalent, with demonstrated writing and numerical skills.
