Production Manager
OA are recruiting for a Production Manager to join our client’s dynamic and growing team.
Location: Letchworth
Hours: 40-hour week, Monday – Friday (8:00am – 4:30pm). Option to finish at lunchtime on Friday if hours are achieved. Overtime rate x1.5
Salary: £40,000-£45,000

Production Manager Key Responsibilities
3. Develop and implement effective production schedules to optimise efficiency and meet production targets
4. Supervise and coordinate production activities to ensure smooth and timely execution of projects
5. Hands on effective management
6. Ensure that production equipment is regularly inspected and well-maintained to guarantee smooth operations and minimise downtime
7. Enforce strict adherence to health and safety protocols across all production processes to maintain a safe working environment
8. Implement quality control measures to uphold product standards and identify areas for improvement
9. Provide effective leadership to production staff, fostering a positive work environment and enhancing productivity
10. Analyse production data to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process optimisation
11. Review team skill requirements and ensure cross training is maintained to enable a multiskilled team
Production Manager Skills and Experience
12. Advanced apprenticeship in Engineering, Manufacturing or equivalent job experience
13. Previous fabrication experience
14. Proven experience as a Production Manager or similar role within the manufacturing industry
15. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
16. Knowledge of materials and production processes
17. Familiarity with equipment maintenance and health & safety protocols
18. Excellent leadership and communication skills to motivate and guide the production team
19. Problem-solving aptitude to address challenges and implement improvements
20. Proficiency in using relevant production software and tools
