Job Title: Account Manager - Freight Forwarding
Location: Eccles
Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:30pm
Salary: Circa £30,000

What You'll Be Doing
1. Managing customer queries and escalations via phone, email, and face-to-face
2. Collaborating with imports, exports, charter, domestic transport, and warehouse teams
3. Raising and resolving issues with partners
4. Handling spot quotes and supporting sales calls
5. Developing a "hot prospect" list of new opportunities and recovering lost business
6. Supporting external sales and onboarding new customers
7. Driving efficiencies and identifying cost savings in processes
8. Producing reports on turnover, margins, bookings, and business performance
9. Contributing to project work and KPI tracking
10. Staying up to date with compliance through training sessions
What You'll Bring
11. Minimum 2 years' experience in customer service or account management within freight forwarding
12. Strong communication and relationship-building skills
13. Analytical mindset with excellent time management
14. Advanced IT skills, including Microsoft Excel
15. Attention to detail and a proactive approach
16. GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
17. Background in road freight and proven internal sales experience
