Salary: £14.00 per hour
Role Overview
Pure Staff is recruiting a Junior Mechanical Designer to join a client in Shirley, Solihull, specialising in the design and manufacture of mechanical handling solutions.
Responsibilities
* Collaborate with the engineering team to design and develop mechanical handling systems
* Create detailed 3D models, CAD drawings, and technical documentation
* Analyse, test, and optimise designs for performance and efficiency
* Ensure all designs meet industry standards and safety regulations
* Support the manufacturing and installation process where required
* Maintain accurate design records and documentation
Requirements
* Previous experience or training in mechanical design
* Proficiency in design software such as Inventor, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD
* Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills
* Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and develop
Pay & Shifts
* £14.00 per hour
* Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 17:00
* Temporary to permanent opportunity after a successful minimum 12‑week period
