About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join a growing consultancy based in Gloucester. This role offers excellent career development opportunities, exposure to a broad range of projects, and the chance to work as part of a friendly and collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities
* Design of drainage, services, road infrastructure, and earthworks across residential, commercial, industrial, retail, and leisure developments.
* Preparation of technical drawings and documents from concept through to construction.
* Production of Flood Risk Assessments, Drainage Statements, and Service Strategy Reports.
* Design of Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems (SuDS).
* Technical design and detailing for Section 278, Section 38, Section 104, and Section 185 agreements, including securing approvals.
* Negotiation with highway authorities, drainage bodies, and the Environment Agency.
* Site audits and feasibility assessments.
* Supporting and mentoring junior team members, while maintaining client relationships.
About You
* Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience in a civil engineering role.
* Strong skills in report writing, AutoCAD, MicroDrainage, AutoTrack, and ground modelling software.
* Knowledge of national guidance such as DMRB, Manual for Streets, Sewers for Adoption, TSRGD, and Building Regulations.
* Confident communicator with strong project and client management skills.
* Commercially aware, proactive, and a strong team player.
