Overview
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff across a wide range of clinical and non‑clinical professions. It delivers acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million, and to a wider population of 2.2 million when regional and national services are included.
The role provides an efficient Health Records service to patients in a ward environment, ensuring that patient records are administered, processed accurately and remain confidential. The post holder provides cover in multiple wards as required, and is expected to undertake duties such as reception of patients, answering telephone calls, appointment booking and maintaining demographic information on the patient management system.
Post Hours
* Post 1: Mon - Fri 08:30 – 12:30
* Post 2: Tue 08:00 – 17:00, Wed 08:00 – 16:45, Thu 08:00 – 16:15
Qualifications
* Previous clerical/reception experience, including working with the general public in a customer service environment.
* Good organisational, typing and communication skills, and proficiency in the use of computer systems.
