The vacancy is for a Highways Technician, Grade 6 based in Guilden Sutton, Chester, within the Highways Office.
The role involves working within a highly productive team, carrying out general engineering technician duties related to the delivery of highway works across the borough.
The principal responsibilities include contributing to the Transport and Highways directorate by delivering programmes of work across teams and ensuring the effective, efficient, and safe delivery of works for users and residents of Cheshire West & Chester, in accordance with council policies, procedures, and resources.
The role requires proficiency in various computer systems, including: Autocad, Microsoft Teams, Confirm, and Microsoft Office applications.
This position is classified as a 'Hybrid' role, meaning the successful applicant will work both from the office and on highways sites, with arrangements made according to an agreed rota. There may also be opportunities to work from home, subject to approval from the line manager.
