Rodway Farm seeks an Assistant Herdsperson to support in the running of the colleges dairy herd. The postholder will assist with the day-to-day management of the herd and calves as well as other farm-based tasks as required.
The applicant must recognise the educational nature of the farm setting and have the upmost respect for animal welfare. The role also requires liaison with academic staff to provide practical farm-based opportunities for a range of students. Therefore, good communication skills are essential along with good attention to detail and the ability to work to a high standard.
