Overview
The Senior or Principal Environmental Advisor / Scientist is sought to join Stantec’s Environmental Team. Ideally based in Newcastle, Leeds or Reading, UK, but applications from elsewhere in the UK will be considered. Part-time working will be considered for suitable candidates. This role offers opportunities for career progression within an ambitious team addressing environmental challenges.
You will support and assist in delivering project environmental objectives and targets, primarily by supporting the EIA and environmental management teams. Responsibilities include conducting environmental planning reports, EIAs and environmental management studies and audits, and managing environmental and sustainability issues.

* Be responsible for managing environmental and sustainability issues.
About You
* Ideally hold a Bachelor or master’s degree in Environmental Management, Environmental Impact Assessment, Environmental Science or Environmental Planning accredited by CIWEM, IEMA or RTPI.
* Demonstrate capability as an Environmental Advisor with knowledge of EIAs, environmental management studies and audits.
* Experience in analysing and presenting data using a geographic information system (GIS).
* General knowledge of ecology, flood risk, town planning or water resources is beneficial.
Qualifications
As above, relevant degree and professional accreditation, plus demonstrated experience in environmental advisory roles and EIA-related work.
