Salary: £60,000 - 60,000 per year Requirements: We are looking for a Senior IT Systems Engineer with strong experience in Windows Server, Azure, O365, SharePoint, Intune, and Active Directory Group Policy. You should have expertise in VMware configuration and administration, along with advanced knowledge of network and firewall configuration, including VLANs, Access Points, SSL, and IPSEC. Proficiency with antivirus and security technologies is essential, along with formal Microsoft certification. Previous experience managing IT helpdesk operations is also required. Responsibilities: In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting the IT infrastructure across our three sites. Your key duties will include: Issue Management: Identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving issues related to hardware, software, or network connectivity. You will oversee our IT helpdesk system to ensure all incidents are properly logged and tracked while maintaining targeted service level agreements (SLAs). Installation and Configuration: Leading the installation and configuration of hardware, software, and network systems to achieve optimal performance, reliability, and security. Technical Support: Providing 2nd and 3rd line technical support to resolve complex system, hardware, software, and network issues. Security Management: Monitoring and maintaining IT security measures to protect our organisational data, networks, and systems from unauthorised access, data breaches, or cyber threats. Maintenance and Upgrades: Conducting regular maintenance, updates, and upgrades of our IT systems to ensure high performance and minimal downtime. Documentation: Creating and maintaining accurate documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures for use by IT staff and end-users. Training and Support: Delivering inductions, training sessions, and ongoing support to end-users on IT systems, hardware, software, and security best practices. Budgeting and Reporting: Contributing to monthly IT reports and assisting with preparing the annual IT budget. Line Management: Managing one direct report, conducting regular one-to-one meetings and performance appraisals.
