Responsibilities
* Provide psychiatric input for inpatients resident at Ty Llewelyn Medium Secure Unit.
* Provide specialist psychiatric assessment, treatment and basic medical support for individuals in Ty Llewelyn Medium Secure Unit.
* Undertake reports as required for the Ministry of Justice, Mental Health Act Review Tribunals, as well as CTP and ASR reports.
* Work with ward and service managers to ensure clinical leadership of the multidisciplinary team; assist with clinical supervision of the team and contribute to training of team members in clinical matters.
* Ensure compliance with the Mental Health (Wales) Measure 2010 and undertake responsibilities under that measure.
* The post may attract a junior doctor at times, depending on availability in the training rota.
* Undertake responsibilities if approved under the Mental Health Act (1983) as a section 12/2 approved doctor. Routine 136 assessments do not fall into the post holder's responsibilities.
* Complete the necessary reports required by the Ministry of Justice and Mental Health Tribunal Reports as appropriate.
