Tradewind are currently recruiting for a dedicated Year 6 Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Oldham on a full-time basis from September.
You will be responsible for leading a Year 6 class for the full academic year, preparing pupils for SATs while ensuring a balanced, engaging curriculum that supports both academic progress and pupil wellbeing. The school prides itself on its strong community ethos, supportive leadership team, and commitment to helping pupils transition confidently into secondary education. The ideal candidate will have:
Proven experience teaching within KS2, ideally with exposure to Year 6 or upper Key Stage 2
A strong understanding of SATs preparation and the Year 6 curriculum
Confidence in delivering engaging lessons across core subjects, particularly English and Maths (experience with schemes such as White Rose Maths is desirable)
A positive and inclusive teaching style, with the ability to build strong relationships with pupils and colleagues
Effective behaviour management skills and the ability to maintain a focused, productive classroom environment
Experience differentiating learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND and EAL
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage workload effectively during a key assessment yearEssential requirements:
QTS (or an equivalent teaching qualification)
Recent KS2 teaching experience supported by strong references
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
