This role is perfect for someone who can step in quickly, provide operational leadership, and ensure the organisation continues to meet its landlord and employer H&S duties. Key responsibilities include: Leading the day‑to‑day delivery of Group H&S and compliance Managing and developing a multi‑disciplinary compliance team Overseeing KPIs, performance reporting, risk management and Board‑level insight Driving continuous improvement across compliance, safety culture and communication Managing budgets, forecasting and resource planning Leading internal and external H&S communications with staff, tenants and contractors Improving contractor performance across compliance and CDM‑related activity Chairing Group H&S meetings and supporting organisational risk management Leading training, learning and awareness on H&S topics Liaising with external agencies, including the HSE where required This is a hands‑on leadership role where you'll bring clarity, structure and momentum during a key period for the organisation. About You You'll thrive here if you bring: A recognised H&S qualification (NEBOSH or equivalent) Strong experience leading Health & Safety and/or landlord compliance functions Confidence managing budgets, resources and performance Experience leading teams through change while maintaining high standards Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex information Strong relationship‑building skills across internal teams, contractors and external partners A proactive, improvement‑focused mindset A full driving licence and ability to travel as required Housing sector experience is highly desirable, but strong H&S leadership in related sectors will also be considered.
