Overview
This is an amazing role for a façade engineer to work on different types of projects including both residential and commercial work. This position would suit someone with previous façade engineering experience and a high technical ability, who is familiar with key software such as AutoCAD and Revit.
Responsibilities
* Develop facade and envelope designs from concept to construction stage
* Engineer facade systems including glazing, curtain walling, cladding, and rainscreen assemblies
* Assess structural integrity, thermal performance, air and water tightness
* Produce calculations, reports, specifications, and detailed technical documentation
* Liaise with architects, contractors, and specialist suppliers throughout the project lifecycle
* Review technical submissions, drawings, and material proposals
* Provide technical support during site works and respond to design queries
* Ensure compliance with applicable standards, regulations, and project criteria
Requirements
* Degree-qualified in Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline
* Experience working with facade or building envelope systems
* Solid knowledge of materials, fixings, interfaces, and installation methods
* Familiarity with relevant design codes and performance testing
* Ability to manage priorities across multiple façade projects
* Involvement in complex or large-scale façade projects
* Knowledge of sustainability, energy efficiency, or façade performance modelling
* Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary design teams
* Professional accreditation or progress toward chartership
