Your new role
Role Summary: Reporting to the Cash & Bank Manager within Financial Process Solutions, this role is central to delivering critical payment services to the organisation. These services must meet business deadlines and adhere to policies.
* Execute transactional treasury operations for internal customers, ensuring compliance with processes, policies, and SLAs.
* Prepare and validate manual payment requests on banking platforms, ensuring timely release and escalating issues as needed.
* Manage BACS payments via ERP systems (D365/Coins), ensuring timely processing and compliance with governance and controls.
* Develop and maintain comprehensive payment-related reporting at all organisational levels, including monthly Manual Payments report.
* Update and share Approval & Payments timetables with relevant teams.
* Lead initiatives to enhance payment services, adopting new third-party technologies.
* Oversee creation, maintenance, and delivery of Approvers Training and related materials.
* Participate in stakeholder meetings with internal and external departments.
* Build strong relationships with internal teams, external customers, and finance colleagues, simplifying financial concepts for non-finance audiences.
* Address queries promptly with effective communication.
* Drive continuous improvement and innovation in service delivery.
* Operate proactively.
What you'll need to succeed
* Proven expertise in payments and/or banking processes within a fast-paced, high-volume Shared Service environment.
* Proficient with multiple banking platforms.
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills at all levels, with confidence to challenge when necessary.
* Experience in adhering to SLAs.
* Excellent time management skills, maintaining accuracy under pressure.
* Meticulous attention to detail, following processes and controls, and identifying compliance issues.
* Ability to support change and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
