As a Retail Security Officer with ZAM FM, you'll be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our client's retail premises, customers, and staff. You'll act as a visible deterrent to crime, deliver a professional security presence, and uphold the highest standards of customer service.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain a strong security presence on the shop floor to deter theft and antisocial behaviour.
* Monitor CCTV systems and carry out regular patrols of the premises.
* Respond quickly and effectively to incidents, emergencies, and alarms.
* Support store management in handling potential security issues or investigations.
* Record and report all incidents accurately in line with company procedures.
* Build and maintain positive working relationships with store staff and customers.
* Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and site‑specific security procedures.
Qualifications
* Valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guarding Licence (essential).
* Previous experience in a retail or corporate security environment (preferred).
* Excellent observation and communication skills.
* Professional, confident, and approachable manner.
* Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions.
* Reliable, punctual, and committed to high standards of conduct.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and evenings.
