FUN Club Assistant

Venerable Edward Morgan Catholic Primary School is a successful, happy school with a strong caring ethos that promotes a creative, positive learning environment. The Venerable Edward Morgan FUN Club are seeking to appoint a friendly and hardworking FUN Club Assistant to join our current team to care for pupils in the school’s after school club facility.
We are a friendly and welcoming team, committed to providing a rich and vibrant learning experience for all our pupils.
We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic staff member who will be able to work as part of a team to create a fun, safe and inclusive environment. You will help with running the day to day sessions which will include a range of engaging activities.
We are looking for someone who can use their initiative to work on their own, but also enjoy working as part of a team. You will also need to help in ensuring the well-being and safeguarding of all children and staff.
SKILLS
It is essential that the successful candidate should have previous experience in working with children either in a school or childcare environment. They must have the ability to work as part of a team and the skills to encourage children of ages 3 to 11 to join in activities set out by the Supervisory staff. Your work will be under the guidance of the FUN Club Co-Ordinator between the hours of 15:00 and 17:30 (term time).

We are looking for someone who has:
• a recognised playworker qualification, minimum Level 3 Playworker or willing to work towards
• previous experience of working with children age 3 – 11 years
• good communication and interpersonal skills

**The minimum hours will be 12.5 hours per week (Term-Time) at National Living Wage. The position will be permanent after a completion of a 12 week probation.**
