Social Media Content Creator (12 months FTC)

As a Social Media Content Creator, you will be responsible for elevating our brand presence across digital platforms by translating complex topics such as risk, insurance, geopolitics, sustainability, and innovation into compelling, high-performing social content.
You will lead the creation of social‑first video content; your work will strengthen reputation, drive engagement, and support executive visibility. You will collaborate closely with communications, marketing, business leaders, and regional teams to craft stories that are audience‑first, insight‑led and performance‑driven.
You will have excellent communication skills, with a passion for social media and a keen understanding of the latest technologies, platforms, and trends. Your creativity will enable you to craft engaging content, and your knowledge of brand governance will ensure consistency and alignment with our brand voice, tone and visual guidelines.
Content Strategy & Planning
* Produce platform‑specific social media content with business priorities
* Translate thought leadership, news, partnerships and events into engaging digital narratives
* Support executive social media strategies (LinkedIn‑first)
* Identify trending themes and opportunities relevant to our sectors and markets
Content Creation
* Produce high‑quality social‑first, platform‑optimised content
* Write compelling copy that simplifies complex topics while preserving credibility
* Create short‑form video concepts (selfie‑style, event coverage, interviews, reels)
* Brief and manage designers/videographers as needed
* Capture content at events (photo/video)
Performance & Optimisation
* Monitor analytics and performance metrics to continuously improve output
* Conduct A/B testing of hooks, formats, and posting cadence
* Stay ahead of platform algorithm changes and AI‑search optimisation trends
Content Strategy
* Contribute to AXA XL’s social media strategy
* Act as a trusted advisor, becoming the key point of contact for the global communications community, offering strategic guidance and recommendations to drive content effectiveness
* Research current trends and audience preference
What you’ll bring
Required Skills And Abilities
* 3–6+ years’ experience in social media, digital content or communications
* Video‑first mindset and comfort filming/editing short‑form content
* Proficiency in social tools (Sprinklr, Hootsuite, Creator Studio, etc.)
* Robust understanding of social media growth mechanics
* Data‑driven with the ability to craft compelling narratives
Desired Skills And Abilities
* Second language skills
* Comfortable working with senior stakeholders
* Creative but structured
* Calm under deadline pressure
