Advert Self-Directed Support Assistant, Stornoway (9640) 37 hours per week, permanent post £30,758 - £31,935 per annum ( inclusive of £2,997 Distant Islands Allowance ) The Self-Directed Support Assistant will co-ordinate the delivery of the Self-Directed Support Act (2013) including providing information, advice and support to people who access Direct Payments. You will co-ordinate a range of projects/areas of work across Direct Payments policy, professional practice, and guidance. You should have an understanding of the needs of the client group. It is essential that you hold a SVQ Level 2 – Administration, equivalent qualification or equivalent experience. You will have a good knowledge of effective customer care, office procedures, Health & Social Care Services and Self-Directed Support. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, competent use of IT Systems and customer service experience are essential for this post. It is essential that you are highly motivated, have the ability to work collaboratively with others and the ability to work on own initiative. This position is subject to a Basic Disclosure by Disclosure Scotland. Salary for the above post is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance. Appointment to the post will be on the first point of grade with annual incremental progression.
