We are actively seeking an Associate Technical Director to join our Water & Utilities MEICA team. In this role, you'll establish and consolidate relationships across Arcadis and our clients, managing the technical delivery and design outputs of some of the UK's most complex projects in the Water sector.
The role is within our Resilience Global Business Area, where we work to protect our environment and water resources, while powering our future. As climate change, urbanization, and biodiversity loss accelerate, we address large-scale events like floods and wildfires to safeguard our natural resources.
* Work independently and as part of a team, producing and reviewing complex mechanical detailed designs, calculations, specifications, reports, and drawings.
* Support and/or lead design and advisory services for water and wastewater process plants, pumping stations, and related assets.
* Deliver multi-disciplinary projects in a Design or Technical Lead role, utilizing digital design techniques.
* Develop innovative and optimized technical solutions based on client needs.
* Coordinate work with multidisciplinary teams (process, civil, structural, electrical, ICA).
* Build and maintain relationships with clients and partners regarding project technical, commercial, and progress matters.
* Ensure projects meet technical, legislative, quality, safety, and environmental standards.
* Manage, mentor, and develop performance of assigned staff.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
* Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status with membership in a professional institution like IMechE, IET, or CIWEM.
* Significant experience in delivering process plant systems on complex water industry projects.
* Experience with design and construct projects utilizing digital design.
* Proven team leadership and collaborative skills.
* Preferred: Experience in water and/or wastewater sectors.
