The B2 Forklift Truck Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient movement, stacking, loading, and unloading of heavy goods using a B2-class counterbalance forklift truck (rated above 5 tonnes). This role plays a key part in supporting warehouse operations and supply chain efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Forklift Operation: Operate a B2-class counterbalance forklift truck to load/unload goods from vehicles and move them to designated storage or dispatch areas. Heavy Load Handling: Safely move large and heavy pallets, containers, or industrial goods exceeding 5 tonnes. Storage & Retrieval: Stack and retrieve goods in warehouse racking, ensuring efficient use of space and correct stock rotation. Vehicle Loading: Load and secure goods for transport according to safety regulations and load specifications. Inspection & Maintenance: Perform daily equipment checks and report any faults or safety concerns to the supervisor. Health & Safety Compliance: Follow all site safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and adherence to risk assessments. Team Collaboration: Work closely with warehouse staff, transport teams, and supervisors to ensure timely order fulfilment and smooth workflow.
