Title: Senior Software Engineer Location: IG10 Work Setup: Onsite We’re working with a South Essex based company that focuses on Lab Automation Systems, they are growing rapidly and have recently opened a new office, and are looking for “rockstar” Senior Software Developer to come join their growing team. You’ll work on a dynamic scheduler powering next-generation lab automation in the Life Science industry. Alongside software, bespoke devices and integrated systems that are deployed in labs worldwide. Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, and maintain backend services and desktop applications with C#/.NET - Work on performance-critical systems (concurrency, multithreading, and low-latency data flows - Collaborate across disciplines to integrate software with hardware, robotics, and automation systems - Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and input into architectural decisions Key Requirements - Expertise in C# and the .NET, desktop cloud environments - Adaptability and a proactive, “can-do” attitude - Excellent problem-solving and analytical mindset - Experience or exposure to industrial automation, electromechanical systems, or hardware integration is desirable - AI exposure or interest in applying AI techniques Benefits - Opportunity to work at the intersection of software, robotics, and life sciences. - Exposure to both cloud SaaS and physical automation systems. - High-impact role in a company scaling rapidly within a global industry - Collaborative environment with multidisciplinary teams.
