The following week will then be 3 days on, 4 nights on and 3 off. To assist the Security Manager & Deputy Security Manager in the management of the service agreement in relation to the security and reception contract at the Welcome Genome Campus and to deputise in their absence. To conduct the day to day on site supervision of the contracted security shift, day and/or night. Take ownership of undertakings, whilst ensuring that all cross-company policies are managed and implemented effectively. To act as a point of contact for the contract ensuring all issues are dealt with in an effective and timely manner. Your main responsibilities will include: To manage, schedule and oversee the service delivery and performance of the Security and Reception team ensuring all day-to-day duties are carried out according to the Assignment Instructions and site procedures to a consistently high level of performance. Assist in arranging cover for all absences and additional cover requests made by the client. Demonstrate and foster a “can do” attitude ensuring the security service exceeds customer expectations Communicate appropriately to staff and visitor’s problems and concerns to resolve, or escalate to the Contract Security Manager To succeed in this role, you will need the following: Excellent communication skills, both written (using Computer based software) and verbal (both in person and on the telephone). You will be extremely customer focused providing a polite and courteous service. Proven leadership skills, as you will be required to lead and develop the Security team you are supervising on your 12-hour shift (days and Nights). SIA license (Manned Guarding or Door Supervisor) and PSS license. CCTV License Ability to use your own initiative and work as part of the team A professional demeanour with sound judgement and integrity Computer literacy in MSWord, Excel and Outlook F irst Aid and Defibrillator qualifications would be an advantage.
