Core subject (Maths, English, or Science) SEN / SEND Tutors for Young People with SEND, SEMH, and other Additional Educational Needs required in Somerset / Bristol.
Multiple positions are available and hiring is ongoing to meet the wide variety of needs we support.
We are on a mission to transform the quality of education provided to young people with SEN (Special Education Needs) / SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities), as well as other needs such as SEMH needs (Social, Emotional and Mental Health). We are increasingly supporting children and young people with MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties) and SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties).
We are looking for SEN / SEND tutors with a genuine passion for transforming the lives of disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable learners in Somerset / Bristol.
At Targeted Provision, our mission is to raise the standard of educational support offered to vulnerable young people in the UK. We keep the team around the child, and you will be supported throughout every placement by our team of SEN / SEND Support Specialists.
This role is ideal for qualified SEN / SEND teachers eager to work via 1:1 tutoring with children and young people with diverse learning needs, in a creative, flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed manner, to enhance engagement and improve their educational outlook.

The SEN / SEND Tutor role:
* Providing Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other educational needs referred by local authorities and schools
* Supporting their educational and social-emotional development through flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
SEN / SEND Tutor responsibilities:
* Planning engaging and needs-based sessions
* Delivering holistic support to meet each young person's needs and promote progress
* Completing lesson reports and providing feedback on progress
SEN / SEND Tutor requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience
* Experience working with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or similar needs
* Knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures
* Enhanced DBS (assistance available if needed)
* Two professional references
* Right to work in the UK
It is essential to work in a way that promotes health, safety, and wellbeing, adhering to safeguarding policies.
Employment Status:
* Engagement as a Worker for short-term assignments
* Paid via PAYE, through a contract for service
* No guaranteed hours or expenses coverage
* Insurance coverage provided
* This is not a self-employed position
