Description Job Description Are you a confident communicator with excellent attention to detail? Are you well organised with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment? We are currently seeking applications for four Business Support Officers in the Social Care and National Care Service Development Directorate. These are crucial roles providing the Directorate and its Divisions with a wide range of business administration and project support to help improve the experience of those who receive social care and support in Scotland. Your role will be to provide executive support to a director or Deputy Director, and to support the wider Senior Management Team, and colleagues across the wider Directorate. The work is varied, requires discretion and the ability to appropriately handle sensitive, senior decision making issues. It provides the opportunity to develop a variety of skills while engaging with directorate colleagues and other stakeholders, including external stakeholders. You will take ownership of all, but are not limited to, the responsibilities listed below while proactively seeking to improve critical business support processes, ensure a consistent approach across the Directorate, and demonstrating your ability to contribute to decision making at all levels. Responsibilities Co-ordination of business support activities, including distribution and collation of reporting returns, issuing communications, and ensuring adherence to records management procedures. Executive support for director/deputy director, including diary, inbox and document management according to director/ DD preferences. Meeting arrangements, including agenda preparation, stakeholder engagement, note-taking, and other secretariat duties. Provide relevant information and your own input to support Divisional and Directorate level decision making. For some of these roles, budget Centre Liaison Officer duties, including finance and resource management. Develop and own improvements to Senior Management Team support processes. Other project support and administrative tasks that contribute to the success of the Directorate. Responsibilities Success Profile Success profiles are specific to each job and they include the mix of skills, experience and behaviours candidates will be assessed on. Experience: Working knowledge of corporate records management systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office packages would be advantageous.
